The term DPLD (Diffuse parenchymal lung disease), in general implies the clinical manifestation of inflammatory-fibrotic infiltration of the alveolar walls (septa) resulting in profound effects on the capillary endothelium and alveolar epithelial lining cells.1DPLD comprise a broad spectrum of disorders of varying etiology with some similarities in clinical, imaging, physiologic and pathologic features.
